PARA BANG TOTOO ( ABOUT SORIANO'S EXPLANATION )

Eli Soriano of Ang Dating Daan the false teacher is very popular as one of the staunch detractors of the Catholic Church.

Almost all adherents of Soriano believe fully in him and nobody else can beat him in debates.

Is it true that Soriano is sensible? Or, his followers may just be dreaming. There is no doubt that Soriano is very proficient in memorizing verses from the Bible. Is that enough so you can claim that you are a wise preacher?

For the information of everyone, the New Testament was translated from Greek. It is very important that the bible we use should be based on the original version since many translations are not based on the original Greek copy.
His Comments Against the Holy Rosary

He said, “HINDI NAMAN KAILANGANG MAHABANG MAHABA EH!”

What he said in the video is, IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE VERY LONG.

When Soriano said that there is no need for long prayers, he is contradicting the things that Christ made.

How does Christ pray?

“One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.”(Luke 6:12)

This is written in Greek:

Ἐγένετο δὲ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις , ἐξελθεῖν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ ὄρος προσεύξασθαι , καὶ ἦν διανυκτερεύων ἐν τῇ (Luke 6:12)

What is written and based on the original Greek translation is διανυκτερεύων or dianuktereuo.

What is the meaning of this?

What did Soriano say?

IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE VERY LONG!

Then he quote, Matt. 6:7-but when you pray use not vain repetition, as the heathen do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Is it really true, that when they pray (Soriano and other protestant ) they do not repeat that prayers as what they ask before ?

The answer is, prayer is always  repetition. Don't  tell me, that after asking GOD, to forgive your sin, to have good health etc, you will no longer ask Him again in same manner as what you ask Him before cause you had ask Him already and GOD forbid repetition of prayers?

Repetition is not forbidden. what he forbid is VAIN repetition...

Let us read this verse and have proper understanding. Matt. 26:40- Then He return to the three disciples and found them asleep."Peter" he called, "couldn't you even stay awake with me one hour ? 44- so he went back to prayer third time, saying the same thing.

NOTE: thus one hour, is not a  long period of time for prayers ? thus it take one hour upon saying the words "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup be taken away from me. But I want your will not mind." because this is the only words we found  in the bible that He repeated three times in His prayers.

Jesus prayed the whole night till dawn ( see also Luke 6:12 ) that He even ask his disciples to stay awake with him even in an hour. For He notice that His disciple cannot resist sleeping in whole night -round.

If you keep coming your hair every time you face at the mirror, and take a bath every day, will that's not vain repetition.but if you keep on stilling, every time you want money, then don't do it, that is vain repetition..
