SAINT PETER’S CANONIZATION

Does man ( i.e Pope ) have the capacity to turn a person into a saint? And who canonize Peter as saint hence was considered as the first Catholic Pope ? These are some protestant questions about the Pope’s beatification and canonization .
First, the question is wrong, the Pope had no capacity of making any dead person into saint. He only guides all Christians to have saintly life through his sermons and teachings. Death, has nothing to do with any man ‘s consideration of becoming saint or not. If every individual live a saintly life before the eyes of God and man then he / she is considered a living saint. And if she / he died perseveringly following God and being faithful then he / she died as saint. In fact there were so many people who died as saint for they live a saintly life but they were not canonized. Beatification and canonization will be done only to people who died with historical records , accounted miracles , as well as recorded testimonies of those people who happen to witness on how he /she live before they died.
POPE’S AUTHORITY
The presumption of a dead person as to whether he / she is saint or not will be thoroughly investigated through the investigating panel , if he or she ( proven through records , testimonies , etc. ) is worthy then they will be beatified and later canonize by the Pope himself. Canonization is just a Pope’s proclamation that this person had live a saintly life and thus is truly holy. Please refer to Matt 18:18 / Matt 16:19 / 1 Cor. 2:15-16 as to the authority given by Christ to the Church.
WHO CANONIZED PETER ?
Peter needs no canonization. Or shall I say ( correct me if I’m wrong ) that he was canonized even before his death. Do I sound emphatic ? Obviously I am pretty sure of what Jesus Christ had done to Peter and other Apostles basing the bible. For me, It was Jesus who beatified Peter and his other apostles. In Matt 13:11 he said “ To you has been given a knowledge of the mysteries of the reign of God, but it has not been given to others. 16-but blest are your eyes because they see and blest are your ears because they hear.” Jesus cleansed them from their sins ( John 13: 8-10 ). He ( Jesus ) gave them the assurance that they shall be with him in Heaven (Matt 19:28 / John 14: 1-4 ). That very moment even if they were still on earth , already they were considered as amongst those destined to heaven ( John 17: 13-16 ) . That wherever Jesus is they will be with Him( John 17: 24 ). So if asked who beatified and canonized Peter. My answer is Jesus himself. But with this answer I am still doubtful if am I really absolutely right. Still I am subject to corrections. Because I presume that canonization is for the dead only. I’ll appreciate any question regarding Catholic teaching.
When we say that Christ is God, That He is our only redeemer, For Christ hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God- 1 Peter 3: 18, and you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in him there is no sin – 1 John 3: 5
